Party invitations
Party invitations are the first impression that your guests
will have about your party. There are many options to consider when
it comes to the invitations for your party. Take the type of party into
consideration, as well as the guests you will be inviting.
• “Evites” are electronic invitations that are sent
via e-mail. These invites are all the rage with eco-friendly adults.
If you are graphically savvy or have friends or family who are graphic
artists, you can enlist these skills to make a great digital invitation
to email. People are often better at responding via email than they
are with a phone call.
• Kids’ party invitations should be real, tangible invites.
This playful crowd likes to have something to hold.
• Coordinate your invitations with any decorations and/or themes
you will be using for your party. This is where planning ahead really
pays off.
Make sure your party invitations contain all the relevant information
for the party – who or what occasion the party is for, the location
(including address and directions, if necessary), the time the party
will begin and when it will end.
It is also a good idea to note on the invitation if a meal is to be
served. Including this information eliminates guesses and confusion
for your guests (and their parents). They won’t have to wonder
if they should eat before the party, directions will alleviate any orienteering
concerns and by listing the ending time, they will know when to leave.
